Meatloaf smothered in a rich, brown gravy is an all-time diner favorite. It’s usually served with a side of mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables. It’s popularity stems from the fact that this is pure “comfort food” that makes you feel satisfied.
This brown gravy meatloaf recipe can be made at home pretty easily. First, you’ll notice that the meatloaf includes chili sauce. This adds a bit of surprise spicy flavor that’s appreciated, but not overpowering. While the meatloaf is cooling, you can make the brown gravy, which takes about 7 minutes.
Here’s the recipe:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 3/4 cup fresh bred crumbs, 1/2 cup chili sauce, 1 egg, lightly beaten, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare an 8×4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix thoroughly with a large spoon or using your hands. Place the meatloaf mixture into the prepared pan and gently press down. Bake for 1 hour, or until the loaf is firm and lightly browned.
Cool loaf for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Honey is not only a natural sweetener and pleasant addition to toast or bread, it has many health benefits. The two main sugars in honey are dextrose and levulose; sugars which do not need any further breaking down before they can be absorbed into the bloodstream. This means that honey can provide a quick energy boost for those who need it. Honey contains a variety of minerals and vitamins, the exact types and amounts depend on which flowers the bees have collected pollen from. Better still it contains less than 2% sodium, making it sodium free according to Food and Drug Administration standards. Australian honey can be bought in a variety of flavours depending on where the hives are situated. It could be near various crops that are flowing or underneath native trees such as Eucalypts and brush box. Manuka honey is medicinal honey that is used as a salve to treat ulcers, burns and other skin problems. The specific properties of honey means that it withdraws water – so bacteria is actually dehydrated to death by the application of honey to an infection on the skin. Honey has actually been used to store skin grafts for as long as twelve weeks. Royal jelly is a product that worker bees produce from the tops of their heads and feed to the bee larvae and the Queen bee. It contains a great many nourishing elements such as proteins and vitamins and is considered good for such things as arthritis, bronchial asthma, liver disease, general tiredness, regenerating the nervous system and a great many more. Propolis is another bee product that, like bee pollen, is not as well known as royal jelly. It is actually a resin gathered by bees from leaves and bark and mixed with nectar, wax and pollen and used to seal the hive from outside contamination. Inside the hive the bees make honeycomb, a waxy substance formed into hexagonal hollows in which they store both the larvae and other products such as honey. Is your ref. filled with left-overs from yesterday’s dinner or the night before? Well, if you feel guilty of disposing them, then take them out and turn them into pizza.
Making pizza might sound difficult for you but with the help of your left-overs, you could easily come up with a home-made pizza that you could have for snacks. Here’s how…
Ingredients:
Bread slices
Ready-made pizza sauce
Left-over ham or sausages
Pineapple chunks
Bell pepper
Cheese
Pre-heat your oven to about 180 Celsius or 350 Farenheit.
Since it would take time to create dough, you will have to use what you have at home as a substitute. If you have any bread (probably loaf) this would do.
Slice the bread and place some pizza sauce on it. Spread the sauce evenly on the bread.
Get the left-over ham or sausages. Slice the ham into small squares. Do the same for the sausages but instead of slicing it squarely, slice it thinly. Afterwards, place them on the bread. Put as much as you want but be sure to leave room for the pineapple chunks and bell pepper.
After placing the toppings on the bread, sprinkle it with cheese. Do this with the help of a cheese grater.
When done with all the preparations, you are now ready to cook your pizza. Place your home-made pizza on an oven tray. To prevent it from sticking, wipe the tray first with a small amount of olive oil.
Turn your oven down to 160 Celsius or 320 Farenheit and place your pizza. Wait for 15 minutes before taking it out. You’ll know that the pizza is all fine when cheese has turned golden brown.
Now you have a home-made pizza that you could enjoy while watching tv or as midnight snacks. And if you happen to crave more and there’s nothing left to create pizza, just go online and look for a pizza delivery near you.
